Raul Tovar is a Fashion Photographer & Director based in New York City where he started his career assisting top fashion photographers David LaChapelle and Ruven Afanador.
His work can be seen in publications like Vogue México & LatinAmerica, Vogue Brasil, Vogue Spain, Issue, L’Officiel USA, Harper's Bazaar, People, etc. He has photographed personalities such as Kendall Jenner, Maluma, Thalia and super models Irina Shayk, Cindy Bruna, and Lineisy Montero to name a few.
Raul is inspired by the inventors of fashion photography such as Bert Stern, Richard Avedon, and Helmut Newton and modern photographers such as Steven Meisel and Ruven Afanador. He is fascinated by the way in which women move and strongly believes that the job of the photographer is to make the subject look their best.
